Black History

October is black history month and to celebrate we are carrying out activities covering the Caribbean and African culture.  If you have any traditional music, food, clothes please bring them in to share with the children.

Family photos

Can all parents please bring in family photos for staff to add to Tapestry and to display in their room on the family tree.

Nappies and wipes need to be replenished weekly.  Please give them to a member of staff to make sure they are put away correctly.

As you know, the council has a no arrears policy, please make sure your fees are paid on time.  If you fall behind there is a chance you could lose your nursery place.  The most efficient way to pay your fees is by standing order, you can do this through your bank.

Uniforms are for sale in the office, we would like to encourage all children to wear them.  The cost of the uniform is £7.00 for polo shirt and £9.00 for a sweatshirt.  Please make sure you clearly label all child’s belongings (jackets, jumpers and lunch bags) to avoid loss or taking the wrong item’s home.

Applying for Primary Schools

If your child is born between 01/09/2015 – 31/08/2016 you will need to apply for a primary school place by January 2020.  This is done on line through your local authority.  Some schools require supplementary forms.  If you need any help please speak to Jo.

This year the AGM will be held on Thursday 17 October from 5pm.  We would like to see as many parents attend as possible.  The meeting will run for 45 minutes and settling in reviews will commence straight after.

Settling in review

Settling in reviews will be straight after the AGM. This is an opportunity to have a 5 minute 1:1 chat with your keyperson and given your Tapestry signing on details.

Coffee Morning Tuesday 29 October from 9am

We will be hosting a coffee morning in St Luke’s community centre café.  This will be a drop in session and all parents are welcome from 9am.  This will be an opportunity for you to talk to Callie about Tapestry and find out what is coming up during the year.
